The Genolier Swiss Oncology Network guarantees their patients a "tailor-made" quality of care. The presence of the network in all of the three linguistic regions of Switzerland makes it possible to offer patients local treatment, and, thanks to its presence in several sites, the opportunity to choose the clinic that provides the best treatment.
One of the strengths of the Genolier Swiss Oncology Network is also the synergy established at the level of the various biomedical expertise fields. This synergy is achieved through the "Tumor Boards" or interdisciplinary and interregional symposia. Indeed, all decisions relating to the indication of radiotherapy and its integration into a therapeutic regimen including surgery and/or systemic treatment are now made within these "tumor boards" and considered in discussions held between several specialists, involving usually pathologists, radiologists, surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and others. Any decision made in an interdisciplinary way is automatically communicated to the treating physician and, if necessary, discussed in detail with the latter.
The radiation-oncological activity of the group covers all therapeutic services related thereto, with the exception of total body irradiations, generally practiced in an academic environment. All human organs or tissues developing cancer pathology can be treated, if necessary, by radiotherapy, in the clinics that are part of the Genolier Swiss Oncology Network. This includes treatment guidelines for solid, benign or malignant tumors going as much as to the selective treatment guidelines in the field of onco-hematology. Some anti-inflammatory radiotherapy treatment guidelines are also covered.
